General

Do you require money down to reserve you as our photographer?
We require a 50% deposit to reserve your time, and we accept PayPal, cash & personal check. Full refund is available within 24 hours of scheduled session. Anytime after 24 hours before the scheduled appointment requires you to forfeit your deposit. Our other photogrpahers may have a different set of rules, contact us to find out more information.

Can we buy the copyrights from you?
Yes. We include these so that you have total control over your reprints, and you have the ability to reprint months or years later - you don't have to contact us, we don't have to bring them out of an archive, or charge you for being a negative librarian etc.

What gear do you use?
We use professional grade digital SLR's, HD video cameras, lighting and more. Your results will always be high quality and printable in large formats.

Portraiture

What do I wear for our photos?
Don't wear stripes. Solid colors always work the best and help compliment skin tones. We will send your more guidelines once a project has been scheduled.

How long until I get to see the proofs from my session?
You will see your private online gallery in about 2-5 business days. Sometimes sooner, depending on workload. There is always an opportunity to arrange rush delivery.

Can I have an outfit change?
You may bring as many changes of clothes as you wish. We suggest no more then 3, but it is up to you if you wish to bring more. Please let us know if you plan on bring more then 3 changes of clothes so we can schedule more time for your session.

Can I bring my pet?
Yes, pets are always welcome. They are family too. Please let us know if you will bring your pet so we can come prepared with toys to get there attention.

What if my children are not cooperating?
We have no problem rescheduling your photos for another time. It is a great help if you bring a toy or blanket that your child knows. This helps calm the child and can also help get their attention. Also, it is best to schedule your child's portrait around their nap time.

Can I bring a prop to have in the photos?
Anything that tells who you are as a person is highly recommended. Examples for seniors: basketballs, musical instruments, grips from gymnastics, letterman coat, car, etc.

How long will my portrait session last?
Some portraits sessions are longer than others. Most sessions last about 1.5 - 2 hours. It really depends on the group dynamics, location and cooperation.

Do you shoot film or digital?
Strictly digital.

Do you shoot in color and then we can order Black and white if we would like?
All of the photographs are shot in color, it is during the editing phase that some of them are converted to black and white if requested or suggested by the talent. When you order your prints we can convert any color shot into black and white.

So what exactly does my session fee cover?
Your session fee is for the photographer's time and creativity. Your session may only last an hour or 2, but downloading, post processing, editing, backing up and posting your gallery all take time. Any given session can end up being closer to a full day's work... your session fee covers this.
